Parking Information for PurpleRideStride

PurpleRideStride participant parking is designated by the event you are participating in. Following these guidelines will help us ensure that the park is accessible to the general public and will reduce traffic congestion in the park. Thank you for your understanding.

There is NO PurpleRideStride participant parking at Elm Creek Chalet.

30 mile riders:

Parking is available at the Zachary Square Park and Ride, located at Zachary Lane & 96th Avenue North in Maple Grove. From there, ride your bicycle an easy 1.3 miles to our registration area. There will be signage and police officers supporting traffic as well as a bike corral to check your bicycle after the ride while you enjoy our event ceremony. Additional parking is available at Maple Grove Senior High School - South Lot (MGSHS), located at 9800 Fernbrook Lane in Maple Grove. Shuttles will run continually throughout the day from the MGSHS overflow lot, starting at 7:30 a.m. Riders that park at the MGSHS lot, will first need to drop off their bikes/gear and friends/family at the Elm Creek Park main lot - shuttles do not accommodate bikes. Please allow extra time to ensure you are able to make your event starting time-frame. 30 mile rider starts are from 7:00 a.m. 8:00 a.m.

8 mile riders:

Parking is available at the Elm Creek Park main lot. Once this lot is full, overflow parking is available at Maple Grove Senior High School - South Lot (MGSHS), located at 9800 Fernbrook Lane in Maple Grove. Shuttles will run continually throughout the day from the MGSHS overflow lot, starting at 7:30 a.m. Riders that park at the MGSHS lot, will first need to drop off their bikes/gear and friends/family at the Elm Creek Park main lot - shuttles do not accommodate bikes. Please allow extra time to ensure you are able to make your event starting time-frame. 8 mile rider starts are from 9 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Runners and Walkers:

Please proceed directly to the shuttle parking area at the Maple Grove Senior High School - South Lot (MGSHS), located at 9800 Fernbrook Lane in Maple Grove. There will be complimentary shuttles running continually throughout the day as they fill up bringing participants into the park. The 5K fun run/walk and the 1 mile family friendly run/walk will begin at 11 a.m.

Survivors:

There will be exclusive reserved parking for you adjacent to the main lot in Elm Creek Park. You will receive a parking voucher prior to event day to present upon entry. Be sure to arrive in time for our event ceremony at 10:30 a.m.!

Volunteers:

Please proceed directly to the shuttle parking area at the Maple Grove Senior High School - South Lot (MGSHS), located at 9800 Fernbrook Lane in Maple Grove. Shuttles will run continually throughout the day from the MGSHS overflow lot, starting at 7:30 a.m.

IF your volunteer shift begins prior to 7:30am, please contact Volunteer Chair Anne Rosenberg at arosenberg@pancanvolunteer.org for alternative instructions. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your shift to ensure time for parking and shuttling. There is absolutely no parking in the lot adjacent to the event village. All cars will need to be removed prior to Registration opening at 6:30 a.m.

We love animals just as much as you do! However, due to safety and liability reasons, pets are unfortunately not allowed at Pancreatic Cancer Action Network events. Service animals are, of course, welcome.

Strollers and wheelchairs are absolutely welcome at PurpleRideStride! Please keep in mind, however, that sections of the Stride course may include off-road sections.

A few things to keep in mind:
  • Youth registration is for children ages 3-12. Children ages 2 and younger are not required to register.

  • Your registration fee will count toward your personal fundraising goal, and you’ll receive an email including your registration confirmation and tax information. Please note that registration fees are not tax-deductible.

Register by the dates listed below in order to secure these benefits.

  • Online Registration: Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. CST
    Registration will still be available at packet pick-up and on event day.

  • Mail-In Registration: Friday, September 6, 2019
    Your mailed registration form must be received by this date in order to be processed for the event.

  • T-Shirt: Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. PST
    Registration must be processed by this date in order to guarantee an event T-shirt.

Packet Pickup

Beat the lines on event day by picking up your T-shirt at packet pick-up. Registration prices increase on event day, so make sure to invite friends and family to register at this time if they haven’t already done so!
