We can’t wait to see you at PanCAN PurpleStride Northeastern PA on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
PanCAN PurpleStride is almost here and we’re making this year our biggest yet. We’re bringing together pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters in your community for a memorable day, and we want you there! Take a walk around the event village before our opening ceremony – write on the tribute wall, take pictures with your team in the photo area, and even grab a snack. Then, be inspired during the opening ceremony before you set off to take steps to end pancreatic cancer.
Join us at the ultimate event to end pancreatic cancer. Your participation and fundraising make all the difference.

Carmella Mataloni
Carmella Mataloni was born and raised in Dunmore in Lackawanna County. Carmella grew up watching WNEP and started her career there in 2015. Carmella is excited to begin working in a new role this year as the anchor of the 4 p.m. newscast, alongside Jon Meyer. Carmella also does a report at night for our evening newscasts.
Cancer runs in Carmella’s family. Both her paternal grandfather and uncle battled pancreatic cancer in the early 90's. Her uncle lost his battle first and her grandfather a few years after that. Carmella’s paternal grandmother and aunt also both lost their lives to ovarian cancer.
Knowing her family history, Carmella thinks that this is a great opportunity to not only educate herself but others who might be in a similar situation, and is excited about being the emcee for this year’s PurpleStride Northeastern PA 2022.
