We can’t wait to see you at PanCAN PurpleStride Central Florida with Premier Sponsor Cydney Daly, taking place on One Big Day, Saturday, April 29, 2023! We loved being back in person last year and want to make an even bigger impact this year – we need YOU to do that!
We’re bringing together pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters in your community for a memorable day, and we want you there. Walk around the event village, grab a snack, write on the tribute wall, take pictures with your family and friends in the photo area, and be inspired during the opening ceremony before you set off on the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

Julie Gargotta
Julie Gargotta is a news anchor at Spectrum News 13. After getting her Master of Journalism degree at her alma mater, Temple University in Philadelphia, she joined the station as a multimedia journalist more than eight years ago and has worked in various roles… until finding herself waking up at 2:30 am and co-anchoring several hours of morning news.
When she is not at the TV station, she is spending time doing dance or yoga, grabbing coffee with girlfriends, traveling with her husband and playing with her two pups. Julie also has a four-year-old, spirited daughter, Adriana, and this year had a son, Oliver.
Back in 2008, Julie’s mother, Rita, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She passed months later, but Julie says it changed her life forever. It instilled in her a passion to help educate others on the disease… and raise funds to end it. She is honored to emcee this year’s PurpleStride and hopes to spread awareness wherever she goes.
