We can’t wait to see you at PanCAN PurpleStride Hampton Roads, on Saturday, April 27, 2024!
We’re bringing together pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters in your community for a memorable day, and we want you there. Walk around the event village, grab a snack, write on the tribute wall, take pictures with your family and friends in the photo area, and be inspired during the opening ceremony before you set off on the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Saturday, April 27, 2024
This year's PurpleStride is at Chesapeake City Park. We will have food trucks in case you get the munchies, a Purple Play Zone where we will have games for families and children, a balloon guy for the young at heart, and Shop Purple that will have merchandise to help you raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.
For our walk you can select from two paths: An inner path where you can stroll and take in some beautiful pine trees and an outer walk where you can watch skateboarders and stop to admire and reflect at the 9/11 memorial. Both paths will have water stations so you can stop and quench your thirst and both paths are fully paved, so bring strollers, walkers, wheelchairs, wagons, whatever, and enjoy!
Make it a family day pack a picnic lunch and stay at the park and enjoy adventures at the Fun Forest with playgrounds for children of all ages and abilities, shoot some hoops at the basketball court, throw some horseshoes, or have a game of volleyball, select a book from the Little Free Library or be a dare-devil and try out the skatepark.
There is just so much to see and enjoy!
