We can’t wait to see you at PanCAN PurpleStride Silicon Valley, on Saturday, April 27, 2024!
We’re bringing together pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters in your community for a memorable day, and we want you there. Walk around the event village, grab a snack, write on the tribute wall, take pictures with your family and friends in the photo area, and be inspired during the opening ceremony before you set off on the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

Directions
If using GPS to navigate to the event, we recommend clicking the Google map link on this page, or entering "Almaden Lake Park" into the GPS app of your choice. Entering the address above (15780 Almaden Expy,) will direct you to a plant nursery within the park, which is a short distance from the Event Village and parking. If you do find yourself at the plant nursery, you will need to go a little farther north on Almaden Expy, and enter from the right (northbound) lane, where you see the sign for Almaden Lake Park.
Parking & Public Transit
Parking on site at Almaden Lake Park - Primary parking - including Survivor/VIP parking - is in main lot located on the west side of the lake (access this lot from Almaden Expy, northbound). Overflow parking is available in the lot at the south end of the lake (5949 Winfield Blvd.).

Pets
We love our pets just as much as you do! However, due to safety and liability reasons, pets are not allowed at Pancreatic Cancer Action Network events. Service animals are welcome.

Everyone who registers and raises (or makes a self–donation of):
- $50 or more will receive the official PanCAN PurpleStride 2024 T-shirt
- $1,000 or more will become a member of our PanCAN PurpleStride Grand Club and receive exclusive Grand Club gear!
Can't make it to your local PanCAN PurpleStride? Register for PurpleStride USA and participate from wherever you are, and in any way you like!
T-SHIRTS
Everyone who registers and raises or self-donates $50 or more by event day will receive the official PanCAN PurpleStride 2024 T-shirt, available for pick up at your event. We’ll do our best to ensure supply and preferred sizes, but T-shirts are subject to availability. We are unable to ship T-shirts after the event.
All pancreatic cancer survivors who register for PurpleStride are eligible to receive a special survivor T-shirt with no fundraising minimum required.

Dr. Brendan Visser
Guest Speaker
Dr. Visser is the Medical Director of the GI Cancer Care Program at the Stanford Cancer Center and section chief of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) in the division of general surgery, department of surgery at Stanford. He is the program director for the Stanford Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Surgery fellowship program and is actively involved in the General Surgery training program. Dr. Visser was honored in 2011 with the John Collins Memorial Teaching Award, an annual faculty recognition selected by the entire body of general surgery residents. He also received the Best Rotation Award in 2015 and 2020, which is selected by Stanford chief and senior residents in general surgery.
Sandhya Patel
Event Emcee
Sandhya Patel began her journey in news in 1993, and quickly turned to the weather center. The weather intrigued her because no matter what time of year, it's always an important news story. She made the switch to meteorology and never looked back.Forecasting the weather in the Bay Area has its challenges because we have so many microclimates. But that keeps things interesting! One of the highlights of her career was when she was asked to fill in on Good Morning America's weekend show. It was an amazing experience!
