By registering, you'll create an account in the PanCAN PurpleStride Dashboard, our online fundraising hub (formerly My Strider Central). Make sure you set up your own personal fundraising page, Facebook Fundraiser, etc. before building your team. Check out the Get Started section of our Fundraising Tools & Resources page for more.

All set up and ready to build and coach your team? Use your PurpleStride Dashboard to take a few easy steps:

• Set your team fundraising goal. We recommend a minimum goal of $200 per team member, but encourage you to reach for the stars! Striders who raise $1,000 or more become part of the PanCAN PurpleStride Grand Club and receive an exclusive gift! And on average, teams with Grand Club members fundraise 10x more than teams without a Grand Club member.
• Personalize your team page with a photo and your story. Telling people why you started your team and why you're taking steps against pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride, will make them more motivated to support you and this cause that you care so much about.
• Ask your friends, family, coworkers and others to join your team. The more the merrier – and you'll raise more money to support life-changing programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients.
• Use and share our fundraising tools. As the Team Captain, you should encourage the whole team to fundraise – and lead by example!

Your PurpleStride Dashboard (and the PurpleStride app) includes prewritten recruiting, coaching, fundraising and thank-you messages you can personalize and send to your friends and family via email and social media. Reach out early and often using these tools!

COACH AND INSPIRE YOUR TEAM

As your team grows, make sure you are coaching and inspiring them! Send messages through your PurpleStride Dashboard to encourage your teammates to:

• Set their goal
• Update their personal page
• Connect to Facebook Fundraiser
• Download the PurpleStride app
• Make a self-donation
• Send fundraising messages
• Aim for Grand Club…and more!

THANK YOUR TEAM AND DONORS

Make sure to thank your team members and your donors for their support. You can give shout-outs anytime using your PurpleStride Dashboard or the PurpleStride app.

PLAN FOR EVENT DAY

Before event day, remind team members to mail in or make any online donations to hit their personal goal or achieve Grand Club status, and check to see if your team has qualified for special fundraising benefits. Check our Fundraising Incentives for full details.

One of the best things about event day is seeing the sea of purple! Encourage your team to show their purple spirit with purple wigs, glasses, shoes, etc. Make sure everyone is snapping pictures of themselves and sharing on social media using #PanCANPurpleStride.

EMAIL TEMPLATES

Participants who send fundraising emails raise twice as much as those who don't! You can send emails easily from your PurpleStride Dashboard or the PurpleStride app. Just log in and click the type of message you want to send: Build Your Team, Coach Your Team, Send Fundraising Messages to Friends & Family, or Thank Your Donors. Make it personal by sharing why you're participating in PurpleStride.

Don't limit yourself to these messages — turn every email into an opportunity! Log in to your PanCAN PurpleStride Dashboard, click Send Fundraising Messages to Friends & Family, then the Email Signature tab for instructions on how to add our email badge to your personal and work email accounts. Your badge will update recipients about your fundraising progress and inspire them to donate.
