In Memory of Papa Z

I'm raising money in honor of my dad, Steven Zalesny, who passed away in March of 2016.  I walk in memory of him and in support of every person affected by Pancreatic Cancer this year.

If I learned anything from my dad it was how important it is to help other people.  When my dad was diagnosed we knew pretty early on that there was nothing we could do for him.  With his blessing, I signed up for PurpleStride 2016 and decided to wage hope for others.  

In the 7 years, we've participated in PurpleStride our team has raised over $100,000. Team Papa Z is back for our seventh walk and we are ready to fight Pancreatic Cancer

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
