Welcome to My Personal Page

In September, 2014, my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Just 8.5 short months later, he passed away. Up until my dad was diagnosed, I did not know anything about pancreatic cancer. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is a wonderful resource that provided information and support as I learned more about my dad’s diagnosis.

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 13%. It is typically undetectable until symptoms present themselves at a late stage when few treatment options are available.

PanCAN understands that developing early detection tools is key to bettering the survival rate for this cancer. Since PanCAN launched PurpleStride, the 5-year survival rate for Pancreatic Cancer has increased from 6% to 13%.

I’ve stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help me rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation or by joining me in the walk?
