Hey, there!

I’m taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29, 2023.  I’ll be walking in Virginia Beach with my sister, Kate, and my good friends, Sharon and Marie.  You all know of my personal struggle with this disease and my desire to minimize the likelihood of anyone else going through this same experience.  

I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need your help to do that!

PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.  I found their educational packet extremely valuable when I was first diagnosed.  And their “Survivor Stories” on their website gave me hope to envision a positive future for myself.  The research they are funding is making serious advancements, just even in the four years since my diagnosis.  

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal – $1,000 - because the more money I raise, the bigger impact we make – and would appreciate a gift of any size to help me get there.  There is a button below this message where you can click to donate.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
