Still fighting 4 years since being diagnosed with PDAC (pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma)! I was blessed to be able to survive Chemotherapy, radiation, and Whipple surgery on my “Lucky Friday the 13th” of March, 2020. Last year I was privileged to walk in Chicago’s Purple Stride and it was so very inspiring to me and to my partner in love and life Jim! What an incredible feeling to be able to walk along the lakeshore of one of my favorite cities in the world while helping to raise money for more research into this hideous cancer. In just the past 4 years, the 5 year survival rates have risen every year and it’s now 12%. This is a great gain, but still not anywhere near what we need as this cancer is becoming far more pervasive and hitting even younger people! Please consider supporting my 2nd Purple Stride walk by donating whatever you are able! My goal this year is again $1000. I would love to beat that if possible, but I also appreciate all the prayers and support from friends and family I have received these past years. I am blessed to watch my children thrive, and my sweet grand babies grow and I thank my God EVERYDAY! Thanks to all of you reading this as well!
