Welcome to My PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

I am participating in PurpleStride this year as a 2-year pancreatic cancer survivor. I received a diagnosis of Stage II adenocarcinoma of the pancreas head on July 21, 2020. Before my diagnosis, I experienced some of the hallmark symptoms of pancreatic cancer; however these symptoms aligned with the after-effects of a surgery I had less than six months prior. When I developed jaundice, my doctor sent me to the hospital, where they performed a CT with contrast and discovered the issue. I underwent 12 rounds of chemotherapy and had the Whipple surgery on March 2, 2021. The surgeons were successful in removing 100% of the cancer.

Please make a gift of any size to get me one step closer to my fundraising goal and improving more patients’ lives. The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancers has increased to 12% thanks to your donations. Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN's free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that made a real difference in the life of my family and I.

Thank you for your support.
