Welcome to Grim Strong Title Page! Join our team for Anthony Grim!

Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!

I’m going to help make progress, with your support. Help us help others and along the way find a cure! I hope by raising awareness and raising funds I can prevent someone who was as amazing as Anthony pass from this cancer. He is no longer here so we have to be HIS VOICE!

I’m participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, a year-round national movement that funds lifechanging programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives.

Please make a gift of any size to get me one step closer to my fundraising goal and improving more patients’ lives.

Patients and families need us now more than ever.

Anthony Grim was born and raised in Molino FL. He is was 47 years young with a loving wife, two daughters, and two sons. Anthony in January 2020 started to complain of stomach pains. He went to the doctor and an ultrasound was ordered for his gallbladder and pancreas area. The doctors noticed that there was a mass in his pancreas. Our family was in disbelief. How could this happen to us? A close happy family, who has always worked hard and in the process helped others. We prayed and we prayed, despite the news we just received. Unfortunately, we did not get the results that we prayed for and that is why we are here. We have had so much love and support from our community during this difficult time, seeing the lives that my father has touched and helped, it is amazing seeing everyone come together to help.

March 25. 2020 Anthony was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and after a lot of family meetings my father decided to do chemotherapy. He was treated with two different types of chemotherapy but unfortunately neither helped… We used the money from a small local fundraiser to send him to Vanderbilt Cancer Research Center in Tennessee. They did a more in-depth scan and determined that surgery was not an option. He continued his chemo regiment but to no avail. We soon found out the chemo that they had him on actually made the cancer grow faster.  As a result of that, the tumor was affecting his liver, which caused jaundice and turned his skin and eyes to turn yellow. The tumor was pressing against his bile duct. My father has total of 4 stint replacements he was in hospice for two weeks before he passed on April 6th 2021. My father was a fighter he made the doctors baffle, when they gave him two hours to live he lived for over a week. He did not let this cancer keep his spirits down and was his goofy loving self until the end.

Cancer did not win, I will not let it. My fathers voice will live on and hopefully with our Grim Strong family we can that possible.

Rebecca- “I honestly never understood the effects of cancer not only to your loved one but to your family as a whole. It was so hard watching my father who is our provider- shoulder to cry on, number one cheerleader, and our joy. Seeing him hurt and knowing there is nothing you can do to help affects you in so many ways.  I know many people say that they have the best father in the world. However, I could argue for days how my Dad truly is. Not only did he raised his two children but he also adopted and helped raise his cousins. My Father helped raise MANY children, he loves and cares for them as his own. He is such a selfless man and I honestly wish I could take his place. The world needs more people like my father. We appreciate any donations and prayers.”

Anthony Grim would always help anyone in need. Help us keep him alive by helping others who are battling the same cancer he fought so hard from.

Thank you for your support.

God Bless!
