Welcome to My PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

A few years ago, we lost Melissa to Pancreatic cancer.  It was a quick 5 weeks from the time she was showing symptoms to the time she left us.  It left a lot of us with unanswered questions, we weren't sure what was going on and we of course had a lot of sadness losing Melissa.  She was the life of the party, the decorator, the planner and also was the one who helped everyone when she could.  

This is year 3 for Team Missy.  Last year we raised enough money to put us in 3rd place in Chicago, but it is never enough, we have to keep raising money to make a difference for other families that need the help that PanCan provides.  Melissa did not have a chance to work with PanCan unfortunately, but we want to make it so others do have that chance.  

Please consider donating anything you can, it helps!  I will continue raising money every year for PanCan, to help other families not go through what we had to last year.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
