Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!
We’re going to help make progress, with your support.
Our team is participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, a year-round national movement that funds lifechanging programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. The event will take place on April 29th at Soldier Field and along the lakefront.
Last year family and friends walked with Bill along Chicago's lakefront on a misty April morning. A few short months later, Bill lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on August 22, 2022 after a valiant 3-year, 3-month fight. I honestly didn't know if I could face doing the walk this year. But then I realized that Bill would not have had the 3+ years of survival without early detection and the treatments that are currently available. I decided it was important to support the funding to improve early detection and new and better research and resources to beat this disease. I continue to hear so many stories of loved ones fighting this battle or who sadly have been lost to pancreatic cancer.
This year we invite you to join The Z Team on April 29th. Walk for the cure, walk to remember your loved ones as we will remember Bill, and walk to support those still fighting the battle!
If you can't make the walk, please consider making a gift of any size to get us one step closer to our fundraising goal and improving more patients’ lives. Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN's free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives. You can donate to a team member or make a general donation to The Z Team.
Patients and families need us now more than ever.
Thank you for your support.
