Team Missy is back for a third year for PurpleStride!  We need to raise money to help those that are fighting this disease and for those that will be fighting it in the future.  

Team Missy came together quickly in 2021.  In September 2021, Melissa was having some health issues, and ended up going to get it checked out.  Her doctor had some concerns so we went to the ER that night.  They found there was something going on that appeared to be cancer.  We found out for sure a week later that it was stage IV Pancreatic cancer.  Our next step was to find a clinical trial and see what we could do.  Unfortunately, Melissa did not get a chance to fight it.  Things progressed quickly and within 5 weeks, we were left wondering what happened.  Melissa left us way too soon at way too young of an age at the end of October 2021.  She had a lot of good in her, always looking to help others and jump in whenever she needed to.  With that, we honor her by putting together this team, to show that even though she is not here, she is still helping others.  In her honor, we are going to fight Pancreatic cancer by raising funds year after year to do as much as we can so others have the opportunity to fight! 

We will have shirts again this year for anyone that wants one.  What we will do though is take orders and payments ahead of time, with a flat fee of $50 per shirt and anything over the cost of the shirt up to the $50 will go to PanCan.  Payment for the shirts will be due before the order goes in, and then we will work to get the shirts out before the walk so we all have them!
