Family and Friends,

As most of you know, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on December 17th, 2018.  Pancreatic Cancer has one of the lowest survival rates of all major cancers, at just 12% and I’m truly blessed to be a survivor today!  But this deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, and it can’t take away mine and thousands of others determination to be survivors and to find a cure! 

I would like to personally invite you and your families to join Team Dawnie Strong on April 27th, 2024 at the Honda Center and walk with us at the Purple Stride event. 

Every dollar raised ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families like ours! By donating and/or walking with team Dawnie Strong, you are supporting vital efforts to increase pancreatic cancer survivors and early detection!  Our new goal is to increase the survial rate to20%

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
