Welcome to Our PanCAN PurpleStride Team Fundraising Page!


This is our 16th YEAR walking and raising money to find a cure for pancreatic cancer! At our 10 year mark, we raised over $20,000 and we're still going strong just like the man we do this for.

We walk to honor our dad, husband, and friend, Rick Munkvold. Rick was a kind, strong and brave man who had a smile on his face and cologne on every chemo appointment he went to. He survived the Whipple procedure and came out making jokes. He fought so long and hard to continue to be by his wife and daughters sided but ultimately lost his battle way too young. 

We honor him in our continued fight against this disease so that others don't go through what we did. We fight along side our family and friends and keep his memory alive as best we can!

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
