To those who knew Mike, you know what a void his passing has left in our lives, our community and our world. If you were blessed to have crossed paths with him, you know this is not an exaggeration. From diagnoses to his journey to Heaven, Mike lived 11 months. He was able to enjoy time with his amazing children, take a few trips and spend quality time with us all. In that, we feel blessed.

Like so many who are afflicted with Pancreatic Cancer, detection and diagnosis come very late in the game.  When diagnosed at stage 4, like Mike, the cancer is advanced and requires aggressive treatment. Current treatments are often as tough on the person as the disease is. As a family, we are walking to raise awareness of this disease, to raise funds for promoting earlier detection and to raise the survival rates.

On April 27th, we will walk in memory of Mike. One of the biggest gifts Mike left us was his example of his strong Faith. We walk with that faith, knowing Mike will be with us each step of the way. If you can contribute to our fundraising financially, we appreciate it so. A gift in any amount will have impact. Pancreatic Cancer Action Network has earned a 4 star rating on Charity Navigator; the highest rating possible. We also greatly appreciate any spiritual gifts on that day...lighting a candle for Mike, sending prayers to our Team, praying for a cure...all gifts that are valued.
