We are Striding in Honor of Bill Maletz 5/5/1962 - 4/27/2016 Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 10%. This brutal, debilitating, painful disease stole My Dad and put him through many years of suffering, endless different doctors, specialists, procedures, scopes, stents, scans, hospital stays, many unneeded "guinea pig" surgeries (as my dad would say) including the LONG dreaded whipple procedure. We were assured over and over that this wasn't cancer, leaving each time with multiple misdiagnosis, and my Dad mumbling under his breath that they didn't know what the heck they were talking about. He was right, as always. On April 27, 2016 at age 53, his long, painful, suffering 10 year battle that left him with his soul in a frail shell came to a end. We were contacted confirming what we had thought all along, the cause of death was indeed, Pancreatic Cancer.
Our team has stepped up for the seventh year in a row with hopes of putting an end to this cruel disease, so it doesn't destroy more families like it has done to ours. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by joining our Team and striding with us, or making a donation today? By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2025.
Cancer may have started the fight, but I will finish it. Please join me in the fight today!
