Hey, there!

My team and I are taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

On August 20th, 2022 we lost our dad. He had a short and very rough battle with pancreatic cancer for just over 3 months. 

One of the toughest things about pancreatic cancer is that at the time of diagnosis, many patients already have advanced disease. Although our dad did not have evidence of metastasis, he had a massive tumor which caused severe pain and weight loss. His condition deteriorated rapidly.


Our family hopes that one day there will be better screening tools & diagnostics available so that pancreatic cancer can be caught earlier. We also hope there may be better treatment options available. This is why we are walking and fundraising in memory of our dad, Dennis Bryar.

Although he isn’t with us, we know he will be in spirit! He would be proud to know we are raising money in his honor and to help others who are living with the disease.
